Our nurseries are open Monday-Friday from 7.30am – 6.00pm,
52 weeks of the year with the following exceptions:
- Bank holidays
- Christmas eve
- Christmas day
- Boxing day
- New years’ eve
- New years’ day
Please take a look at a full list of our fees and available discounts below. On occasion, we are able to provide some flexibility with payment of the fees, please contact us to discuss your specific needs.
What are the registration fees?
A £27.50 registration fee is payable upon registration of your child and a £55 deposit is charged when a place is booked for your child at one of our nurseries. The deposit will be refunded from your final months’ fees when one months’ written notice is received.
Do you accept childcare vouchers and government tax-free vouchers?
Yes, absolutely.
What is the Childcare Offer and are you registered to accept it?
We are registered to accept The Childcare Offer and offer individual support to families when the time approaches to register.
We have supported hundreds of families from The Vale of Glamorgan, RCT and Bridgend with registering and getting the best from the Childcare Offer.

What happens if the nursery is fully booked?
Fun Foundations operated a waiting list. When a vacancy arises, the applicant at the top of this list is offered the space first. We will endeavour to keep you informed of where you are on the waiting list and can only predict how long it might be for a place to become available.

How are these fees paid?
The childcare fees are payable every month in advance on the 27th day of each month by standing order of childcare vouchers. Full fees are payable for all days including closures.
How are the fees calculated?
Generally, they are calculated by multiplying the weekly rate by 52 and dividing by 12.
What if my child is absent from the setting?
Fees are unfortunately non-refundable if your child is absent from nursery or needs to be sent home due to illness.
What if I need to make changes to my child’s attendance?
We require one months’ written notice to decrease a child’s attendance. Increasing attendance is acceptable on request and if the nursery has sufficient space. If changes occur part way through a month, the fees will be calculated on a daily rate for that month.
Is there an option for a discount for some of the holidays?
Yes, we have two options that families can choose from and are entitled to one discount per calendar year (January-December). All families are entitled to a discount once they have enrolled for one session per week. The discount options are:
1. A 2 week fee break – The 2 week break can be taken consecutively or as 2 individual weeks. They must be taken during the Easter, Summer, or Christmas holidays. The discount will be applied to the invoice a month in advance and reflected as 25% for one week and 50% for two weeks.
2. Exemption from bank holidays / nursery closure – This will be reflected on the invoice a month in advance and shown as an individual session refined. The amount will depend on the session attendance.
Do you offer a sibling discount?
Our nurseries offer a 10% discount for siblings. The discount will be applied to the lowest invoiced fees and will only apply to regular sessions. Extra sessions, holiday club, after school clubs and other charges will not qualify for a discount.

How are school collection fees calculated?
Families are invoiced for the individual booked days a month in advance.
Can my child also attend during school holidays with the wrap-around service?
Yes, there will be a space for your child to attend in the holidays, but this will be payable in line with the chosen schedule a month in advance. If your child does not attend in the holidays, there will be no additional charge. Please also note that the above discount options do not apply to our wrap-around service.
What happens if I am late to drop off or pick up my child?
We kindly ask that families inform the nursery by 10am for morning sessions and by 2pm for afternoon sessions if their child is not attending that day, otherwise we will assume a problem exists and begin to make emergency contact calls. If contact cannot be made by the nursery within 24 hours, a local area child protection unit will be contacted for advice. If your child is not collected on time at the end of their session, an additional fee of £10 every 15 minutes will be charged.
Do I need to supply my own nappies and wipes?
Families are welcome to supply their own brands of nappies and wipes of their preference, but we do supply them and the cost is included in your sessional fee.
