Fun Foundations Day Nursery started in 2010 by Amy Ferguson who worked as a primary school teacher in Y Bont Faen school. Amy understood that parents in the area were struggling to find an option for good quality day care catering for young babies and children so spent her maternity leave searching for a location to become Cowbridge’s very first day nursery.
Previously a jewellery factory, Amy quickly identified it as the perfect space for a day nursery and it swung open its doors in September of 2010 welcoming children from all over the Vale with learning support assistants Mandy and Susan.
The service expanded in 2016 to support schools in the Llantwit Major area with wrap-around care and dedicated after school clubs. And continues to expand into 2022 to include a full day care nursery based at St Illtyd primary school supporting the Llantwit Major community.
